Salmon Falls is your basecamp for adventure.  Your overnight package includes all your meals—all you have to do is decide the type of room to begin each new day.  From there, we’ll help you pick your activities to fill your schedule for your trip to Ketchikan.

Fully Guided Fishing

With the fully-guided fishing package, one of our captains will assist you on your fishing trip in one of our Riddle Marine 27.5 ft. boats, equipped with a heated cabin, standing/private heads, surround sound music, shock-absorbent seats, dual 200 Honda outboards, and an arsenal of top-of-the-line fishing gear. Our guides will assist you in finding the best location, baiting hooks, reeling in your catch, and anything else you may need while aboard. Skilled fishermen? Our captains are happy to step back and let you fish your way! Lunch and fish processing are included.

Full day (8 hours): $600 per person (minimum 2 pax)

Half day (4 hours): $450 per person (minimum 2 pax)

With our self-guided fishing packages, you are the captain for your fishing trip. Take one our boats out and create the trip you’ve always dreamed of with you guiding the way. This package is great for experienced fishermen.

Ketchikan has amazing wildlife and guests of Salmon Falls don’t need to go far to enjoy. It’s not uncommon to see a pod of humpback or orca whales right from our restaurant and deck. But there is nothing that compares to seeing these amazing animals up close. Wildlife viewing from the beautiful open water is a memorable experience and a great way to see the island from a different perspective. Venture into the ocean at the helm of your personal Zodiac and follow your guide as you search for whales, seals, eagles, sea lions and bears.

Spend a whole day exploring Alaska and all it has to offer on one of our Float Planes. Land in remote spots and enjoy a one-of-a-kind guided fishing experience. After a scenic chartered flight, arrive on a lake-and-stream system where very few people are privileged to go each year. Enjoy bait fishing for salmon or fly fishing for Alaska trout. You get to choose your own adventure as these guided trips are for both spin or fly fisherman, novice or experienced. Grab a few friends, and then let’s go fishing.

Enjoy a unique whale watching and sailing tour on Alaska’s only trimarans; experience the beauty and grandeur of Southeast Alaska from the water when you set sail for an adventure unlike any other. Meet your local guide at the docks at Salmon Falls Resort where you will be outfitted with your own trimaran. The tour includes training and instruction on the operation of the trimaran as well as your required lifejacket. Along with your guide, set sail on the Tongass Narrows with sweeping scenic views and the chance to see some humpback whales as well as orcas and other marine life up close and personal. While exploring you will also want to keep your eyes focused on the shoreline as you may have the chance to see bears and other wildlife. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get out on the beautiful waters of Ketchikan and have an up-close-and-personal experience with nature. Whale Watching Adventure

Ketchikan Wildlife Tour

If wildlife viewing is on your Alaska bucket list, Ketchikan provides some of the best opportunities to see and photograph everything from eagles to whales and even black bears!

Head south along the Tongass Highway in a spacious 14 passenger van. While driving along Ketchikan’s coast, your guide will share local knowledge of the wildlife and history of the area. Herring Cove is the first stop of the tour, where many locals enjoy gathering during low tide to watch eagles, bears and other wildlife feeding. Next, it’s time to keep our eyes on the horizon for humpback whales and orcas who frequent the shorelines during the summer months. A few other sea critters that may be seen along the water’s edge are harbor seals, otters, and Steller sea lions. The final stop of the tour is Creek Street where salmon can often be seen swimming upstream to spawn. If open, the group may have the opportunity to enter Ketchikan’s Salmon Hatchery to see firsthand how Mother Nature gets a boost to keep local salmon levels strong.

Tour of Downtown Ketchikan

Ketchikan Pub Crawl & Wildlife Tour

Sit back and let your local guide show you around Revillagigedo Island in a spacious 14 passenger van. Take in the sights and listen to your narrator share information about Ketchikan’s history and all that it has to offer. The tour makes its way south into Ketchikan where you will have a hop-on hop-off style sightseeing and historical tour. Stops include Bugee’s Beach, Saxman Village Totem Park, South Tongass Waterfall, Creek Street, Refuge Cove, Totem Bight State Park and Herring Cove. Herring Cove is a locals’ favorite stop to observe bears and other wildlife feeding during low tide. After a fun afternoon of exploration, your group will stop at a few of Ketchikan’s most unique pubs. Each person will be given three drink tokens to enjoy an ice-cold beverage at the pub of their choice. After the end of the day, it’s back to Salmon Falls just in time to enjoy the sunset.
